AI Snapshots: Evaluating AI Outputs
In a world of convincing AI outputs, the most important skill is knowing when not to trust them. This collection is designed to build that essential muscle of healthy skepticism. These activities move students beyond simply using AI to actively interrogating it, empowering them to become confident and responsible digital citizens.
Students will:
Use a step-by-step process to figure out if what an AI says is actually true.
Look beyond the facts to find what’s missing, like different perspectives or important context.
Figure out why an AI might be flawed by thinking about what its creators designed it to do.
Decide for themselves when to trust an AI, when to be skeptical, and when it’s safer not to use it at all.
