Building AI Readiness with AI fundamentals in Your Classroom

Supporting educators as they build AI fundamentals is a core part of building AI Readiness

To bolster that work, aiEDU hosts professional learning sessions with educators focused on a range of AI concepts. The sessions include interactive exercises, introductions to basic AI concepts, and concrete applications to the classroom.

So far, aiEDU has hosted two professional learning sessions, both focused on building AI fundamentals in the classroom in October.

aiEDU’s Na’taja Flood, who facilitates the sessions, said they’re inspiring and show educators “taking action on their curiosity on the role of artificial intelligence in today’s classrooms.”

One of our recent participants said the AI Foundations session helped them understand the importance of being “mindful and aware of the biases that come up in AI and address them [in the classroom].”

Building AI Readiness through professional learning

As aiEDU’s Senior Lead of Professional Learning, Wren Hoffman designed the sessions and said they’re built to equip all teachers and students with the fundamentals of AI readiness, particularly as aiEDU thinks about ways to AI tools and systems can be used in the classroom.

aiEDU’s next professional learning session, “Building Your Why,” is Tuesday October 29th from 7:30-8:30pm ET. You can register here
