Live from San Diego — aiEDU team hits the ASU-GSV conference
SAN DIEGO, Calif. — How is AI going to change the workplace of the future? How can teachers deal with academic integrity issues in the age of AI? How will AI help drive social change?
These are some of the questions the aiEDU team focused on in an action packed week at the ASU+GSV Summit and THE AI SHOW @ ASU+GSV. Team members delivered keynote presentations, led interactive panels with a student leader and drove conversation with leaders in the space of AI readiness and AI literacy.
Some highlights:
aiEDU's CEO Alex Kotran delivered a presentation on what AI development means for the world of work -- highlighting why, in an era of rapid change there should be even more focus on skills like critical and creative thinking.
aiEDU's Christian Pinedo and Lindsay Berger led an interactive session on navigating academic integrity in the age of AI — and shared the stage with a local student to help bring home the material. The session gave educators and audience members practical strategies for dealing cheating in an age of AI.
Kotran shared the stage with leaders and friends from Google, the EDSAFE AI Alliance, Code.org, Edmentum, AI for Education and the Learning Agency for panels focused on AI's potential to lead social change and AI readiness for children.
Berger and Pinedo led an additional interactive session live from ASU-GSV's "glass classroom" focused on academic intergrity
aiEDU's team, including Kotran and CJ Jackson recorded a live podcast from an upcoming special project
All in all in it was a productive week for our team, helping to build our mission of building a world where every child can live, work and thrive where AI is everywhere.
