Building AI Readiness Where You Are

aiEDU’s fall series of virtual professional learning sessions gives educators across the U.S. the opportunity to build AI skills they can bring the classroom.

aiEDU is building AI Readiness — and meeting educators where they are.

This fall, AIEDU is thrilled to offer a new lineup of virtual sessions designed to empower [K-12] educators with the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the rapidly evolving world of AI. These micro-lessons can help build fundamentals to bring back to the classroom, even if you can’t attend in-person events and can help any educator and school build AI literacy and readiness in your community.

Each session goes live at 7:30 p.m. EST to fit your schedule while delivering maximum impact. They kick off on Oct. 9 with AI for Educators: Building Your Why, where participants developed a foundational understanding of AI, discovered the importance of AI literacy, and unpacked why and how they can empower their learners and learning to be ready for the future.

Then, we move into AI for Educators: AI Foundations, where you’ll get a clear, approachable breakdown of machine learning and how data powers AI. You’ll explore the challenges of bias in AI development—something every educator needs to understand to ensure AI is used ethically and responsibly in the classroom.

As the series progresses, AI for Educators: Concept to Curriculum will give you the tools to integrate AI literacy into your existing curriculum. Whether you’re thinking about how to guide students in using AI or teaching them to critically evaluate AI-generated content, this session will offer concrete strategies you can use right away.

Next in, AI for Educators: Enhancing Your Practice, yo u’ll learn how to use generative AI to support your teaching, from grading to lesson planning, while keeping an eye on data privacy and bias.

The series wraps up with AI for Educators: An AI-Powered Future and aiEDU Curricular Resources, where you’ll explore AI’s broader societal impact and get access to free, ready-to-use aiEDU materials to help build AI literacy in your classroom.
